I always thought the most straight forward way would be to hook one pair up to Speaker output A and the other pair to Speaker output B and then use the speaker selector switch, button or knob (as the case may be) to select Speakers A+B. I read some of your topic about the wiring in a stacked setup. Will be doing more, I find it quite interesting. I've done some reading on the whole "stacked Advents" phenomenon. When he found the 2nd pair of A-3s he decided he would sell these ones. But one never knows until you try it.Īs for the stacked Advents, the guy I bought these from has a stacked pair of Advent A-3s. Although I suspect given the sound characteristics of the Eight the highs will be warmer than with the CR-2020. I haven't listened to them with my Sansui Eight but will probably do that sometime today or tonight. The Yamaha opened up the highs a bit which I liked. I've listened to them with my Pioneer SX-850 and now the CR-2020. hp?t=44881Īs I suspected these Advents are a very nice match with my Yamaha CR-2020. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Keep your eye open for a second pair to try "stacking". Seen incorrect refoams that can impact performance. That refoam looks correct with a "concave" profile.
